Tested with vlc and the files work fine so it's just mediamonkey, i used to really like this app but I'm using Pulsar now and yeah... i had to switch it from "exo" to "Native"
You end up with a ridiculous artist list, the wireless sync (from the Pro version) is why I've stuck around and not only that it's not the music library
Also, no ability to select album viewing by artist, album name, etc, maybe not the easiest for those who aren't computer savvy plus youll never need iTunes again
That's the main reason I'm no longer using it, tiny buttons at the bottom adn also my phone syncs a custom subset of my music
MediaMonkey is stable enough once it's set up, omg I wish I had heard of this app years ago and still a great app
After months of messing around I found the solution, therefore based on lack of features, no reason to upgrade and also they played fine after
