Krita is the definitive tool for those who want to specialize in digital painting , offering us an interface that any user will know how to take advantage of, especially experts. But it can also be used as retouching software , even allowing you to work with vector graphics.
Raising the drawing to the maximum power
Krita was launched on the market with the aim of being used only on Linux: in fact, this software was included in the
Calligra Suite , forming part of the DKE. However, due to its success, we did not have to wait long to have a first
stable version for Windows , which was released in 2014, with all the compatibility that could be expected from this operating system.
If you have already used an Adobe tool, you will discover that the interface is just as intuitive. But don't worry if you've never used these tools, since the learning curve it offers us is very easy to navigate.
Very complete tools
As for its tools,
Krita includes a large number of brushes and effects , it also offers us a layer system as a way of working and it is compatible with the vast majority of common formats. It has functions to cut, control the palettes and customize them at will. And it even has different assistants to make it easier for us to learn the software.
In addition, it is a free tool, under the GNU license, which means that we can use it without limitations, and without having any kind of copyright problem.
It's a handy alternative to Gimp, perfect for you to install right away.
