So what's in the tutorial repertoire group? Well there are 5 app builds, the first 2 are small and easy to get your students familiar with the interface and show them how to create a "sounding board" and a variation of the magic 8 ball. The other 3 program builds have quite a few more details. The initial one is a prototype painting format program (14 videos), where the students will take a photo and will be able to annotate it using lines and circles that follow the slide of the fingers. Of course, there are also paints and a reset button. The second sees the introduction of a frog smashing video game (12 videos) where frogs appear on the screen and you can touch as many as possible in a fixed period of time. This introduces the concept of duration variables and scores. The final update to our software is for an obvious miniature golf game (16 videos), with random positioning of the holes and a dodge object on the screen. In all 3 applications, extension assignments are identified to allow more able students to progress further if they wish. In general, these videos will keep most students busy and engaged for a few hours in the meantime, which of course will save you time planning if you're a teacher. This is by far the outstanding advanced way to meet app inventor 2.
