While playing the game, the two enemies take turns moving one of their item parts to a different square on the board. A player ('White') enjoys adds possesses chunks of a light tint; the one different player ('Black') possesses adds possesses fragments elements of a dark pigment. There are rules about how the component pieces are moved and about removing the opponent's element pieces from the board. The player with white element pieces always makes the first move. Because of this, White has a small efficiency and wins more times than Black in tournament games.
