3skeng AR allows you to experience your 3D models precisely referenced into the intended environment. It is developed for professional use in architectural, industrial engineering or construction management applications.
Workflow
No manual input is required during use of the HoloLens. Prepare your model on the computer using the 3skeng AR extension for Trimble SketchUp (works with versions 2019 and 2020). Define a reference point, upload the model, print out a QR code and place it at the common origin.
Finally, scan the QR code with the Microsoft HoloLens App and experience the model in (augmented) reality.
Supported Formats
SketchUp supports many different industry standard file formats for CAD models, such as: skp, 3ds, dae, dwg, dxf, ifc, stl. Third party extensions add support for even more formats.
Performance
3skeng AR uses optimized shaders to improve rendering performance. Models with up to 500,000 polygons will generally be rendered fluently.
Licensing
The license for the 3skeng AR app for the HoloLens is perpetual. No further payments are required! The license for the 3skeng AR extension for SketchUp is included (works with SketchUp versions 2019 and 2020).
